A current and valid real estate sales associate’s license for at least 24 months during the preceding 5 years in the employ of a governmental agency for a salary and performing the duties authorized in this part for real estate licensees or a current and valid real estate broker’s license for at least 24 months during the preceding 5 years in any other state, territory, or jurisdiction of the United States or in any foreign national jurisdiction.



Florida Real Estate Broker Course

This course provides 72 hours of instruction in principles and practices of real estate required of all applicants for a broker’s license in Florida. The course prepares learners for the Florida broker licensing exam and provides the foundation necessary to be a successful real estate broker in Florida. In addition to broker-specific responsibilities, topics include Florida real estate law, valuation, appraisal,  real estate sale contracts, financing, settlement procedures, federal income tax laws, investment real estate, zoning and planning, environmental issues, and property management.

Frequently Asked Questions

When does the course start?

Your course starts on the date of purchase and is available immediately.

How long do I have to complete the course?

Students have 6 months to complete the course from the date of purchase (Time of enrollment).

How long does it typically take to complete the course?

It typically takes the average student 4-6 weeks to complete the pre-license course.

Do we offer a cram/crash course?

Exam preparation is the online equivalent to a cram/crash course that a student can take at their own pace as many times as needed.  

What if I don’t understand something in the course?

Every course comes with an assigned instructor who will make contact with you by email, phone, or a combination within 24-48 hours after your enrollment. Instructors are available throughout the day and night within reason to assist students with course materials and general license questions.

Do I have to take a final exam?

Yes, all pre-license & Post license courses require a final exam. However Florida does not require a proctored final exam. Meaning the exam is open book.

What if I fail the final exam?

If a student fails the final exam the instructor will conduct a review with the student prior to retaking the final exam. If a student fails the final exam twice, the student will have to repeat the course. The minimum time to retake an exam is Florida is 30 days after failing the exam.

Florida requires Sales Associates to complete 45 hours of Post License course work within 18-24 months after obtaining the initial license. Sales Associates' must complete the post-license education prior to the first renewal following initial licensure or their license will be considered null and void. We offer 6 course combinations to fulfill that requirement.

This course will look at an assortment of topics designed to help you find success with a variety of client types, including those who are environmentally conscious, struggling to afford housing, facing a short sale, or interested in real estate as an investment. Florida Reactivation Course

Reactivate your involuntary inactive real estate license with this course!
This 28-hour, online course—based on key content from Florida Real Estate Principles, Practices & Law—is intended for real estate sales associates and brokers who currently hold involuntary inactive Florida real estate licenses. This course meets the education requirements needed to reactivate your license, including the required two exams. You’ll learn from practice activities which provide an interactive method of concept reinforcement and self-testing

INVOLUNTARY INACTIVE STATUS:
Renewing once expired for one year or more: To renew a real estate license that has been expired for more than twelve months you must complete a 28 hour reactivation education course and pay all fees that are due on your renewal application. Once your license is renewed, to reactivate your license you must: ï‚· Sales and Broker Associates contact your broker to register as their employee. ï‚· Brokers must be properly registered as a Sole Proprietor, Partnership or Qualifying Broker of a licensed real estate company.

Florida Real Estate Continuing Education (CE) and License Renewal Requirements:

Real estate professionals in Florida need to renew their licenses by March 31st or September 30, every 2 years. 
The renewal date that applies to you depends on when you initially took your licensing exam and should be indicated on your real estate license. By this date, licensees need to complete 14 hours of real estate CE, consisting of:
8 hours of specialty credit
3 hours dedicated to an update of Florida laws
3 hours of an ethics and business practices course 
These courses may be conducted in a classroom or via a distance education provider
